Clonazepam is a BZD (Benzodiazepine) and it increases the action of GABA which is a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain, and Escitalopram is SSRI (Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) which results in improving mood as it increases the serotonin level.
